Station 7

Station 7 is located on Route 9, centered between Stations 2, 3, and 4.  It is staffed full time and was built in 2006.  This station houses the Tower and Rescue companies for the Department, and therefore respond to incidents throughout the county.  Alpine Mountain Rescue also houses their truck here, and uses the conference room for training.  Apparatus housed here include:

Tower 7:  A 2004 Sutphen SPH 100 Tower with a 1500 GPM Waterous pump, and a 300 gallon tank.  Tower 7 carries rope rescue gear, air bags, and auto extrication equipment.

Rescue 7:  A 2006 Unimog/Smeal rescue.  Rescue 7 carries equipment for technical, trench, confined space, and mountain rescue.

Management is considering purchase of a slightly different unit, as well as adding firefighters to staff the rescue full time, along with the tower.
